Stavros Chrysostomides, PA-C, caq-oRTHO - Physician Assistant
Stavros is a Physician Assistant and is a direct extension of Dr. Kirol’s patient care. He evaluates patients in the office, makes rounds at the hospital and first-assists in the operating room. He also performs ultrasound guided injections, diagnostic ultrasound examinations, and Iovera cryoanalgesia treatments. Stavros is passionate about non-operative treatment options for multiple orthopedic conditions, particularly knee osteoarthritis.
Stavros is a graduate of the Physician Assistant Program at The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) where he served as class president. He graduated magna cum laude from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s in Biology.
Stavros has obtained his Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Orthopedics through NCCPA. He holds professional memberships with the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery (PAOS).
Alicia - Certified Medical Assistant
Alicia has been with Midlands Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery for over 16 years. When she first joined Midlands, she was a surgical technician working in our operating room. She then made the transition to the clinical side of patient care.
Alicia coordinates the preoperative planning for Dr. Kirol, including surgery scheduling, assisting patients in obtaining preoperative requirements, and answering pre- and postoperative questions.
Monica - CERTIFIED Medical Assistant
Monica has been with Midlands Orthopaedics for over 6 years. She assists Dr. Kirol and Stavros in clinic with office procedures and ultrasound examinations.
Before joining Midlands Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery, she worked in radiology.
Laurie - Administrative Assistant
As Dr. Kirol’s administrative assistant, Laurie handles a wide variety of activities for our team and patients. She often communicates with patients to schedules office visits and can address most administrative questions.
